Coaches & Environment
athletes and their environment
The environment includes people an athlete maintains sports-related and personal contacts with. Modern athletes work with a team of coaches, trainers, medical and physio-services to improve their performance.
Family, friends and last but not least, managers and sponsors complete the team of a professional athlete. Teamwork and Communication With increasing size of an athlete's team the collaboration for success becomes more complicated. Sport psychologists can help with communication and the organization of teamwork. |
appearances in the media
The professionalization in modern sports requires a high training load and an increased public presence of an athlete. Nevertheless, it must be ensured that the athletes' training and competition tasks are fulfilled. Sportspsychological coaching helps to find the right balance.
Media and Marketing Professional athletes have contracts with sponsors and are marketed through the media. Sporting performance should not suffer from marketing and the spotlight. The athletes should be prepared for media tasks and trained in the areas of communication and rhetoric. |
Why Eva Pfaff ?
Experiences from a Sports Career
During my sports career I experienced many psychological aspects on the tennis tour. To get used to the world of tennis, the tough competition, the journeys around the world and to convert my talents into good performances and results, took some time. Practice and Theory Long learning times and unnecessary losses can be shortened through sports psychological counseling. After my tennis career, I expanded my practical experience with theoretical knowledge through studying psychology. I added theoretical-based techniques allowing me to pass on my experience and knowledge to young athletes. |
